The Sales Representative- Waste Incineration Systems manages both inbound and outbound customer calls for the purpose of writing/entering orders (SAP), solving problems, documenting activity (Salesforce), uncovering opportunities, analyzing business needs, preparing quotes, scheduling, and performing virtual presentations, following up and ultimately generating and closing sales. These calls could be with both existing and new customers within an assigned territory and/or region of the world.  


You are responsible for creating and managing a territory pipeline to meet performance goals and working directly with internal departments (Finance, Production, Service, and Fulfillment) to ensure the care of our clients is complete while building customer relationships that encompass a vast array of products and services within our company portfolio. 


  • Initiating outbound telephone calls and campaigns to existing and prospective customers to sell waste incineration products and improve customer satisfaction
  • Generating leads and initiating quotes on cultivated business opportunities
  • Meeting or exceeding performance standards for quality and quantity of calls, sales objectives, etc
  • Fulfilling information requests for literature, etc. for customers when needed
  • Creating and maintaining a  positive personal and business relationship with the marketing team, customer service representatives and regional managers

  • Selling Combustion Systems or a related product
  • Ensuring existing and potential customers receive regular contact through daily phone calls and documents
  • Coordinating customer credit applications and preparing and processing credit memos as required
  • Routing customers with concerns and problems to the appropriate department
  • Understanding how to lead and guide a client with waste management decisions.  Waste dynamics (energy content), Waste handling (Point A to B), Waste destruction (Class of Incinerator), Emission cleaning (Abatement), etc
  • Following up on pending quotes on projects, products, services
  • Providing key information regarding customer issues with pricing, product, delivery, literature, etc. to Director of Sales
  • Entering all calls into Salesforce immediately and submiting sales reports daily to the Director of Sales
  • Responding to customer inquiries within 24 hours and resolving customer inquiries with respect to pricing, delivery, basic application, basic technical questions and credit
  • Maintaining and updating customer master file


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
  • 5+ years of previous inside sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding waste class dynamics and environmental impact preferred
  • Occasional territory or conference travel (quarterly) either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications. SAP and Salesforce a plus
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
