Position Summary


We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering who will oversee all aspects of facilities management to ensure safety and security while protecting the asset for investors and owners.  This role manages and coordinates all activities of the local engineering and maintenance departments to design, manufacture, and test components, products, and systems.



  • Maintaining a working knowledge of new technologies which improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly.
  • Researching emerging and competitive tools, equipment and processes.
  • Cost reduction and enhancing existing manufacturing of products.
  • Directing department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
  • Recommending and implementing methods for improving processes, including worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.  
  • Manage recruiting, hiring, and training of new engineering staff and professional development of existing staff.


  • Working with R&D/Marketing in the execution and manufacturing of new products.
  • Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
  • Advises management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.


  • Resolving problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
  • Utilizing engineering skills (engineering design and analysis) to improve facility operation, layouts, etc.
  • Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.  Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
  • Directing and managing multiple concurrent engineering projects, delegating authority and responsibility to subordinates as appropriate.
  • Serving as high-level release manager on all product releases.
  • Managing engineering team effectively to project timelines and budgets.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
  • 8+ years progressive engineering experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.  
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. (Standard is 10lbs, Manu. standard is 25lbs modify as needed)
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.
