POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr Inside Sales Representative position is responsible for growing an existing territory by selling to existing customers, uncovering new customers and new markets and channels for the products. This role acts as a mentor to non-senior inside sales representatives.  This position covers the Northeastern United States and location is flexible to support this territory.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiates a number of telephone calls or appointments per day to existing accounts for the purpose of building business relationships and growing sales, while uncovering new customers and opportunities.
  • Works directly with CSR's and regional managers in a unified team approach to uncover opportunities and recognize revenue growth.
  • Works with Marketing and the Leadership Team to understand the strategic direction.
  • Creates sales presentations unique to the customer or market opportunity.
  • Provides pricing and quotes to customers.
  • Learns new products and identifies the real features and benefits for the customer at a fast pace.  And develop an understanding of the offerings competitive differentiation to provide a value sale to the customers.
  • Trains and supports Inside Sales Representatives to further develop their skill level.
  • Report all sales activity on Salesforce.com.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of previous outside sales experience, or combination of inside and outside sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Capital Equipment sales experience preferred.
  • Routine travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.  Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.  
  • Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
