The Senior Manager, Project Engineering manages all aspects of projects to ensure safety and security while protecting the asset for investors and owners. This role manages and coordinates all activities of the project management/engineering department for controls, cost, software, engineering, and customer relations.  


  • Managing concurrent engineering/manufacturing projects, delegating authority/ responsibility to subordinates as appropriate.  
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.  Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
  • Day-to-day interaction and management of project management/engineering team and manage recruiting, hiring, training.  
  • Managing project management/engineering team effectively to project timelines and budgets and ensure product/project best industry practices. 
  • Establishing documentation and processes to improve the efficiency and reliability of the workflow. 
  • Ownership of the technical content generated by the project management/engineering department and critical input to effectively solve problems. 
  • Ownership of project details and customer satisfaction from order to delivery/start-up.

  • Allocating resources to successfully accomplish company objectives and priorities and identify needs for successful completion of projects. 
  • Performing administrative and oversight functions in approving proposals, expenditures, and policy enforcement. 
  • Providing insight on strategic technical focus to the executive team. 
  • Approving design documentation including project design basis, specifications, drawings, and calculations. 
  • Creating and maintaining close working relationships with commercial and operational teams, clients and vendors. 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred 
  • 6+ years of progressive engineering experience preferred 
  • 3+ years in a direct leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment 
  • Certified Project Manager (CPM) or equivalent
  • Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required. 
  • A high degree of proficiency in SAP ERP
  • A high degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications 
  • Excellent analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, & planning skills with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning) 
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts 
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.





  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard; and talk, hear and see.  
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
