We are recruiting for a Senior Manager - Business Unit Relations. This role can be based in any of our UK or European offices. 

The Senior Manager of Business Unit Relations acts as a partner between IT and line-of-business (LoB) stakeholders to enable the best match of information technology solutions with strategic business needs. This role oversees changes to existing technology, consults on technology direction, and implements new services, infrastructure. and applications.  In short this position works to execute the strategy for the appropriate application of technology for an LoB.  




  • Collaborate with leadership to identify enterprise application, infrastructure, and software needs.
  • Analyses industry, technology and market trends; identifies new IT capabilities & services as required to support business needs; collaborates with senior stakeholders to manage a portfolio of projects for LoB performance improvement and alignment with the enterprise architecture.
  • Supervises a team of IT resources to deliver specific IT organisational capability not delivered by core central enterprise IT services. The team may include remote and multinational resources and requires accommodation of cultural differences and work policies.
  • Oversees IT budget for the LoB, including annual planning, tracking, cost containment, and opportunities to optimise IT spend.
  • Proactively executes plans for systems and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.  Promotes a perspective on potential options that is visionary and pragmatic.
  • Facilitates the development of business cases.
  • Accountable for the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and technical systems.
  • Educates stakeholders with regards to IT service offerings; Coach business leaders on how to communicate with IT to obtain services needed to improve business performance
  • Collaborates with service delivery organisations to mobilise resources, escalate issues, coordinate incident response, and deliver increasing value.
  • Coordinates consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.
  • Plans and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.  Mentors, coaches, trains, and develops team.
  • Additional duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Proven experience with infrastructure and application management managing small teams and working with business leadership
  • Experince in a leadership role (direct or indirect)
  • Experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment (engineer to order)
  • Experience performing IT services for a professional services company is preferred.  For example professional services include marketing, package design, graphic design, project management, image management, etc.
  • Experience with B2B integration technology; digitisation
  • Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • Strong analytical, prioritising, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Expertise in a minimum of 2 core IT disciplines (networking, systems & storage, data center, desktop computing and a track record of effectively deploying them to drive enterprise value.  Solid understanding and application, hosting, network, and cyber security concepts
  • Experience with SAP in a services industry is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Ability to work well proactively in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Excels at building relationship, negotiating, and solving problems
