POSITION SUMMARY

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who wants to contribute to an enterprise team in the rapidly growing Information Security arena. You’ll be joining a small but growing IT Security team as a primary point of contact, supporting and working with experienced Matthews Sr. Information Security Analysts. Your passion for Information Security must also be accompanied by outstanding customer service skills as we deliver Information Security Services to multiple business lines across the world on behalf of Matthews International. 
While we continue to formalize our Enterprise Service Delivery model as a team, our work environment remains informal.  Our job of protecting all company information assets and information resources while helping to ensure compliance with government regulation and Matthews Intl. Corporate Policies and Standards is challenging, face-paced, and rewarding. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Your primary responsibility will be monitoring of security controls including but not limited to: 
    • Endpoint Protection 
    • Advanced Threat Protection
    • Vulnerability Management
  • You will serve as initial point of contact for the security team on:
    • IT Security service ticket response
    • IT Security email 
    • Incident Response
    • Sev2 Incidents requiring engagement from IT Security
  • You will work closely with and be mentored by experienced Sr. Security Analysts. 
  • Your primary daily work will be to identify and remediate (on your own or working with corporate resources) endpoint, server, and network device vulnerabilities. 
  • As assigned, you will coordinate and assist with additional Information Security functions.
  • You will promote continuous process improvement.
  • You will work with users and staff to enforce corporate information security policy and procedures by applying Matthews Security Standards in your daily work. 
  • You will report to the IT Security Senior Manager

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology-related field.
  • Two years or more experience in enterprise IT or information security-related positions, with hands-on technical experience.
  • Professional designation or certification related to Information Security is preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with security issues surrounding network computing and some experience with enterprise security systems and controls.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve daily problems with minimal supervision and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and teamwork skills. 
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one.
  • Knowledge of enterprise network and endpoint security assessment tools desirable.
  • Experience with enterprise endpoint security tools and remediation desirable.
  • Prior experience upholding security policy and/or standards desirable.
  • Opportunity requires that candidates have flexibility to work in conditions in which there may be extended work schedules, multiple assignments, conflicting and changing priorities, and specific time constraints.
