POSITION SUMMARY

The End User Computing Intern will assist the IT department in providing Level 2 support for end-user devices and applications. This internship offers hands-on experience in troubleshooting, device management, and supporting enterprise IT environments, while adhering to Matthews International’s standards of integrity, security, and operational excellence.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical assistance for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Support installation and configuration of operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and approved business software.
  • Participate in device imaging, deployment, and inventory management.
  • Help maintain endpoint security compliance (patching, antivirus checks).
  • Document resolutions and contribute to knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on projects such as software rollouts and system upgrades.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Matthews International’s Code of Business Conduct, data privacy, and IT security policies.
  • Assist with scripting and automation tasks using PowerShell or similar tools to improve efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (3rd year).
  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., Cherwell, ServiceNow).
  • Exposure to endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM).
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell) is a plus.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

•    Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.  
•    Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. (Standard is 10lbs, modify as needed)
