Financial Analyst

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst that will support the Manager of FP&A in the following areas: asset acquisition and utilization; cost management and control; financial budgeting and forecasting; and other financial projects. This role will include a high level of interaction with all business unit financial staff and senior leadership. The Financial Analyst delivers action plans to resolve issues while managing projects through to completion.


Supporting the development of robust KPI reporting, both financial and non-financial, analyzing trends and variances, benchmarking performance, for example only (not a comprehensive list):

  • Weekly Reporting of utilization and sales
  • Monthly sales by customer reporting
  • Working Capital reporting
  • Standard cost analysis
  • Working with Customer Profitability Reporting, Variance analysis and Product Hierarchy refinement to support the business reporting needs
  • Utilizing IT infrastructure such as SAP/BI/BPC for process enhancements and streamlined reporting
  • Support the annual budget process, Strategic 5-year plan and monthly reforecasting processes
  • Leadership
  • Finance
  • Operations 
  • Month end journals for Division allocation and standard reporting for division highlights, P&L book and Flash.
  • Assisting as needed with internal control testing, external audit requests and ensure compliance with internal policies of governance.
  • Support acquisition evaluation processes.
  • Potential for support in the area of commercial process/development on bids and price tender workflows.
  • Providing analytical support to the Business Partners and FP&A manager on ad hoc projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
  • 0-4 years of previous finance analytics experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see. 
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
