POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Analyst – GBS collects, analyzes, reports and interprets historical financial, purchasing, or commercial performance figures for use by management for applicable programs, initiative and analyses in one of the following areas: Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, or Account-to-Report. This position is responsible for periodic and ad-hoc analyses in one or more of the following areas; business performance and tracking compliance, spend and key business stakeholders, sales & cash receipts, A/R, and potential optimization opportunities. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and manages analysis process and reporting method.

 

  • Uses analysis and industry/market reporting to identify opportunities.

 

  • Manages accuracy and completeness of account analysis in analytics tool; coordinates with others regarding reporting and accuracy.

 

  • Determines where gaps in master data exist; helps create plan to cleanse and improve.

  • Collects, monitors, and reports market benchmarks & trends as they relate to best-in-class practices for similar businesses. 

 

  • Builds relationships with stakeholders and supports development of business cases for new opportunities.

 

  • Identifies opportunities and recommends solutions to drive consistency and mitigate risk.

 

  • Compiles data in support of executives’ needs, including providing information for either performance improvement initiatives, sourcing initiatives, or sales effectiveness initiatives.

 

  • Reviews and conducts analysis on report outputs, identifies additional opportunities for savings, and identifies non-compliance.

 

  • Supports process improvement initiatives.

 

  • Develops implementation and training plans and supports change management initiatives. 

 

  • Design, develops and maintains reports and analytical tools. 

 

  • Trains professionals in KPI self-service.

 

  • Translates non-technical business requirements into technical specifications for BI system enhancements.

 

  • Additional duties as assigned. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field

 

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred

 

  • 8+ years progressive related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

  • Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.

 

  • Ability to analyze complex data and present in a meaningful manner, making appropriate recommendations and driving actions (e.g., data validity, profit/loss variance, volume trends, ROI)

 

  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications, Advanced Microsoft Excel and database manipulation skills, SAP BI tools

 

  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.

 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).

 

  • Solid/Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.

 

  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.

 

  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

 

  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.

 

  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
