Manager - Global Learning and Development

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Mgr – Global Organizational and Development is responsible for the delivery of corporate wide training in service of enterprise programs.  The role develops and champions the overall learning objectives for the enterprise in support of the Global Talent Management strategy.

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH

 

  • Establishing, leading and developing the Global L&D team while building and optimizing learning resources, alignment and coordination across all regions to drive high performance, organizational transformation and effectiveness. 
  • Developing and championing the overall learning objectives for the enterprise that is consistent with the Talent Management strategy while supporting the needs of the organization.
  • Developing and sharing best practices in processes and efficiencies across the enterprise-wide learning and development community, including core learning materials, curriculum and learning modalities, tools and techniques.
  • Providing guidance and support to Learning Consultants on adult learning principles and practices and support learning consultants in the development of content. 
  • Responsible for building, embedding and maintaining the global competency model. 
  • Managing the LMS and a learning and development portfolio of projects and programs including the operational and technological direction of learning technology requirements and solutions. - Owner of enterprise-level content e.g. LinkedIn Learning.
  • Leading a team of subject matter experts (internal and external) to support the facilitation of learning programs that are innovative, interactive, incorporate adult learning principles, and achieve measurable results. 
  • Leveraging and managing relationships with external learning professionals to build and embed learning and development programs and curriculum that are differentiators in a learning organization.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

 

  • Creating an effective Community of Practice thus ensuring alignment, buy-in, and activation of L & D Strategy and approach
  • Staying current with best practices, maintaining a deep subject matter expertise and bringing forward best practices and trends
  • Alignment of learning efforts globally
  • Supporting regional Learning Consultants with building manager capabilities and specialized technical training
  • Providing a high level of customer service
     
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Management or related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred.
  • 8+ years progressive experience in Learning & Development discipline, with expertise in Adult Learning; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect).
  • Experience with Learning and Development software and Learning Management Systems.
  • Periodic travel is required, including the potential for international travel.
  • Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills. 
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, dotted-line reports and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
