Manager- Regional Shared Service Center - Financial Services

The Regional Shared Service Manager is responsible for building and operating a delivery organization for Financial Service functions delivered as-a-service from regional or virtual delivery centers. This role is responsible for effectively managing functions like A/P, Disbursement, Tactical Purchasing, Travel Services, A/R, Collections, Credit Management, G/L Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, etc. to deliver corporate services consistent with quality, cycle and response time, and cost efficiency criteria established by corporate strategy and informed by commercial best-in-class practices.  In addition, this role will manage the integration of acquired business and separation of divestitures in accordance with corporate standards.

  • Defining organizational capability, skill requirements, and build staff in the regional center to satisfy delivery quality, efficiency, response and cycle time objectives of the enterprise?
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating activities of the regional service delivery team ensuring goals or objectives are accomplished?
  • Mentoring, coaching, training and developing teams?
  • Implementing common procedures and performance metrics to sustain and improve service reliability for the functions within the Regional Shared Service Center?

  • Establishing and maintaining a catalog of services, negotiated SLA’s and KPI’s to monitor and control service delivery
  • Managing a team’s performance including hiring, training, developing and improving individual performance
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and instilling a culture of CPI
  • Authoring and maintaining department procedures, training, internal control documentation, while ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Accounting or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
  • 10+ years progressively responsible experience in the Accounting, Finance, or Business Operations functions
  • 8+ years in a leadership role
  • Advanced interpersonal, leadership, and people development skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation and reasoning, presentation).
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Deep practical experience managing diverse teams for optimal performance
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate global or matrix organizations to achieve results-
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management. Executive presence.
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • A high degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook and Internet applications.
  • Operational experience using SAP ERP, Blackline, SAP BI tools to manage back-office processes
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, problem-solving, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivation with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard; and talk, hear and see.  
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.
