The Solution Architect develops solution-based architecture for IT enterprise, focuses on analysis of alternatives, technical assessments, tactical and strategic architecture and program integration. The Solution Architect engages in early stages of projects and programs, tasked with understanding business objectives, conceptualizing solutions and working with various teams to implement the solution. 


•    Researches, designs and develops solution architecture to support strategic initiatives within enterprise functional area.
•    Establishes solution roadmaps, creating alignment amongst the enterprise, business segments and services.
•    Presents solution roadmaps to leadership team, providing deep analysis of alternatives, systems engineering and required capabilities.
•    Leads the development and design of new eStores in Websphere Commerce
•    Implements automation technology, focusing on reducing manual labor within plants and back-office.
•    Works closely with production and engineering to identify areas of potential automation or technology advancement.
•    Completes implementation of new solution designs in place of defective structures.
•    Researches opportunities for revision and/or re-use of standard solution designs.
•    Works with cross-functional teams to create the build list that will implement the conceptualized solution.
•    Analyzes client requirements and determines appropriate solutions to these requirements based on business needs.
•    Resolves routine to moderately complex problems and issues in solution architecture; assesses any potential risks and determines solutions to these risks.
•    Works with other solution architecture staff, technology experts and business stakeholders to provide functional support to clients on solution architecture updates.
•    Assesses and effectively manages all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure activities are in alignment with the bank's and unit's risk appetite and risk management framework.
•    Additional duties as assigned.



•    Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
•    Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
•    8+ years progressive Architecture or Computer Science experience
•    Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
•    High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
•    Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills 
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
•    Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
•    Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
•    Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
•    Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
•    Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting



•    Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.  
•    Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
