POSITION SUMMARY

The SAP Master Data Analyst is responsible for the creation, deletion and updates to new and existing SAP customers. In this role they will maintain data quality, compliance and consistency, follow standard operating procedures, support business unit requests and research and resolve issues. This role will also be responsible for developing and maintaining master data documentation and the creation of standard operating procedures as it relates to master data lifecycle processes. The success of this role relies on a good mix of technical, business and interpersonal skills and the ability to differentiate between business processes and the technologies that enable them.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage creation, and maintenance of customer master data records within SAP system.
  • Implement approved changes to SAP customer master data in compliance with business requirements, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Perform mass updates as necessary, efficiently handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy, completeness, and quality of master data, addressing and correcting discrepancies and errors.
  • Uphold data governance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to organizational standards.
  • Analyze trends and patterns in master data to identify insights and potential areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on data quality and performance, sharing findings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data standards, establish quality metrics, and develop data governance frameworks.
  • Identify and propose opportunities to optimize master data management processes within SAP, including system enhancements and automation solutions.
  • Offer support and guidance to SAP users regarding master data-related issues, queries, and requests, including troubleshooting and training on data entry procedures.
  • Keep current on SAP master data management best practices, industry developments, and technological advancements through training and certification programs.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand data requirements and processes, fostering collaboration and alignment across the organization.
     

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or related field
•    4+ years of previous master data experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
•    Understands SAP data maintenance and table structures
•    High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
•    Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
•    Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
•    Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
•    Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
•    Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
•    Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
•    Ability to work overtime as necessary
