POSITION SUMMARY
The Solutions Architect, with an emphasis on SharePoint/Office 365 Architecture, is responsible for establishing best practices, defining governance and general oversight of the enterprise usage of the SP/O365suite.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop functional and program specifications, design, test, implement, support, and maintain a complex SharePoint environment.
• Assess requirements and work with business owners and technical staff to design and provide best-fit solutions.
• Function as the primary contact for management, end-users and development staff on all issues related to SharePoint.
• Manage both IT and Business projects as needed following strict project management methodologies.
• Plan, design, build, test and implement enhancements for the SharePoint environment.
• Manage and maintain the existing architecture and determine best ways to keep the current architecture current and scalable.
• Delegate responsibilities to team members and external consultants.
• Research, plan and implement software patches and fixes.
• Research and solve simple and complex problems.
• Facilitate root cause analysis on problems where appropriate and identify action items/recommendations to address issues.
• Assess requirements and translate them into plans.
• Maintain documentation and lessons learned, best practices, and quality improvement documentation.
• Experience with Active Directory and SharePoint User profile synchronization.
• Azure AD maintenance and support.
• Determine timeframes for deliverables.
• Provide functional expertise and consultation to the users and technical staff.
• Communicate status of work to appropriate senior manager and stakeholders.
• Identify new and alternative approaches to performing business activities.
• Analysis of business processes, including recognition of the potential for automation of the processes, assessment of the costs and potential benefits of the new approaches considered.
• Responsible for other duties assigned by management.
• Ability to multi-task and perform in an interrupt driven environment.
• Work with partners and vendors.
• System functionality based on user requirements and thorough testing.
• Deliver timely, cost-effective solutions for the projects.
• Define and comply with processes to maintain high availability and stability of application/system.
• Timely resolution of Problems and Issues.
• Accurate and timely completion of assigned components of the detailed project/plan.
• Adequately planning for and executing training of end users.
• Timely completion of assigned deliverables.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration or equivalent
• Expert knowledge of Office 365 and SharePoint Online
• 10+ years experience working with SharePoint and Office 365
• Strong Architectural knowledge of SharePoint
• Extensive experience with Power BI, Flow, Teams, Groups and Power Apps
• Mastery with workflow and forms development using Nintex for O365, Nintex workflow on cloud and analysis using Nintex Hawkeye.
• Ability to perform independent project development and fulfillment
• Strong Administration knowledge of SharePoint, including Farm Administration, Search driven content / publishing, display templates and 3rd party authentication providers
• Strong Solution development knowledge of SharePoint using its various built-in and 3rd party modules/components
• Strong Program development knowledge (i.e., developing SharePoint as a Service)
• Strong Application/Solution Governance development knowledge
• Strong Leadership abilities
• Significant experience working with 3rd party Sharepoint/O365 Partners
• Nintex Certification
• Microsoft Certifications
• Data, application and integration technical skills
• Excellent people skills
• Ability to work within a fast paced, demanding environment
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Experience using the following technology: MS SharePoint 2013/2016, Visual Studio /.NET, MS SQL, Nintex, Sparqube, Layer2
