POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Business Development Specialist provides demand generation outreach and sales support for Matthews Automation Solutions. This involves conducting market research, executing direct marketing campaigns (including email and phone communications), and nurturing inbound inquiries into qualified new sales opportunities. The position also organizes and optimizes lead and proposal pipelines through Customer Relationship Management software and effective communications with sales, engineering and system integration partners.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Proficiency in the Salesforce platform and workflows.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, & planning skills.
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in business or related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of previous sales or marketing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
