Senior Tech Support Software Engineer

The Senior Tech Support Software Engineer supports server-based programs and hardware for material handling equipment that has previously been installed. This role understands equipment requirements, business and customer requirements that drive the design of the technical solutions to support the customer efficiently. 


  • •    Debugs and troubleshoots software installation; supports system post-installation for customer service, including answering and assisting with after-hours customer calls
    •    Supports customer applications via VPN or other remote access means
    •    Works with customers to determine issues and perform minor system modifications to enhance system performance and operations
    •    Work with other departments to make modifications on previously installed systems
    •    Will manage and prioritize work responsibilities through a ticketing system
    •    Additional duties as assigned


•    Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or a Computer Engineering Related Degree.
•    Willing to work after hours (5:00 PM - 8:00 AM weekdays) in "after hours" support
•    Willing to work up to two weekends per month in "on call" support
•    6+ years of previous Tech Support Software Engineering experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Work experience in a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment is a plus
•    Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required
•    High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
•    Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
•    Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
•    Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
•    Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
•    Ability to work with and influence peers and management
•    Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
