POSITION SUMMARY

The Engineering Technician supports Operations and Engineering in various functions by completing production assembly and testing, prototype assembly, prototype validation testing and troubleshooting, documentation, basic technical support, and other engineering related tasks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completes production and prototype assembly.
  • Performs testing and troubleshooting of electronic and other products.
  • Assists with mechanical architecture, design and integration of products, tools, testers and components.
  • Evaluates and repairs RMA’s. 
  • Prepares engineering and manufacturing documentation.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates Degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years of previous engineering, electronics experience preferred.
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • Basic understanding of electronic test equipment.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary. 

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.  
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment may be high.
