POSITION SUMMARY
The primary job functions of the Test Engineer are to develop and implement test plans for new products, assuring the new designs meet performance requirements; maintain and sustain testing equipment; conduct root cause analyses for failures and recurring issues; and to track data, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and tracking progress
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to understand project scope and define testing objectives
- Collect, analyze, and interpret reliability data and datasets from experiments
- Apply statistical methods to evaluate test results, identify trends, and determine product reliability and performance characteristics
- Reproduce and analyze field problems
- Conduct failure analyses to identify, document, and track issues
- Design experiments to qualify new designs, materials and/or processes
- Production support
- Engineering support/other duties
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of previous engineering experience
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
- Ability to dissect complex systems, understand failure modes, and trace root causes
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo)
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with and influence peers and management
