Associate - Quality Control

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Technician performs duties related to testing and defining the root cause analysis of returned product that have been reported to have Quality Issues, preparing proper report outs, testing of inks, Ink cartridges, and systems, entering and maintaining information in the JIRA ticketing system, and compiling and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs designated test functions for operations.
- Collects, reports, and analyzes data for operations.
- Performs audits as designated by sampling plan. Evaluates audit findings and implements corrective actions.
- Performs additional in-process testing as required.
- Collaborates with Safety Coordinator to ensure safety concerns are considered on all quality processes.
- Investigates customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
- Establishes a monthly Quality Committee meeting which helps develop the goals and objectives, strategies, and path to achieving a quality culture.
- Assists departmental leaders to draft quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Reviews the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.
- Analyzes statistical quality data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Identifies training needs and organizes training interventions to meet quality standards.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- College Degree or Technical School Diploma
- 2+ years of previous quality assurance experience required; or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.
- Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
