Repair Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

The Repair Coordinator repairs, tests, troubleshoots, and inspects electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, devices, and other related equipment in accordance with proper company policies and procedures.  The Repair Coordinator will be required to also handle some daily customer service duties as assigned by the Repair Manager.        

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repairs equipment including controllers, power supplies, printheads and ink systems; inspects and tests all products to maintain a consistently high level of quality
  • Adjusts and tunes products to provide optimum service and reliability according to established procedures and methods
  • Suggests approaches to improve products, procedural changes, and/or new methods of control and/or testing
  • Operates diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, pulsed generators, strobe lights, microscopes and other equipment
  • Monitors and reports on the inventory of working stock and related items necessary to maintain acceptable workflow.  Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner; works within extremely close tolerances and part specifications
  • Ensures that repair report is completed for every work order, maintains proper filing of reports at all times
  • Provide a high level of customer service via telephone, email, written communication, or personal contact to resolve mostly routine problems and requests
  • Identify and assess customers’ service needs and refer to other service or technical departments for follow up or additional information as needed
  • Ensure order instructions and information are submitted accurately and per customer specifications
  • Maintain current and accurate order entry information in all required software programs
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
  • Software: SAP, Excel, Microsoft, Zendesk|Jira Ticketing Systems
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of previous equipment repair experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
