Industrial Electrician - Traveling Position

POSITION SUMMARY

The Commercial/Industrial Electrician position is a permanent and full-time traveling position.  Candidates can expect to work out of town and occasionally be required to work locally (Hickory and surrounding areas).  

EBF Enterprises, Inc. is a part of Matthews International Corporation and located in Lincolnton, NC.  Our company installs and upgrades large machines used in industrial factories such as extruders, presses, and converting equipment. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation and/or removal of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Install conduit, cable tray, wire, and associated equipment. 
• The ability to bend and thread IMC and rigid conduit is a must.
• Care and maintain company tools and equipment. 
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Understand, practice, and enforce safe work practices.
• May assist with tracking project costs, including time keeping.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of the N.E.C ability to read manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications is required.  
• Knowledgeable with industry-standard hand tools, power tools, and electronic/electrical test equipment.

SCHEDULE & BENEFITS

Schedule:  Full-Time, 80% Traveling Position 

Monday - Friday (7 am - 5 pm). Some Saturdays may be required. Travel is required (may involve international travel).  This is a local/traveling permanent, full-time position.  Must be willing to commute to the Hickory/Lincolnton/Conover/Charlotte areas daily.  Must be reliable!

Compensation:  $30-$35 per hour (pay depends on skill level).  Daily per diem when traveling out of town.
