Supply Chain Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key initiatives related to sourcing and qualifying alternative suppliers, driving manufacturing engineering optimization, and implementing overall process improvements. This role will also oversee the project pipeline, including status reporting and ensuring progress toward established goals.


 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive manufacturing engineering optimization initiatives, resulting in improved product design, cost reductions, and enhanced production efficiency.
  • Drive Supply Chain initiatives to completion inside the estimated project schedule Analyze the total supply chain for key projects and propose optimal (cost / time) options (primary and alternates)
  • Identify and lead process improvement projects across the supply chain to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the project pipeline and maintain an up-to-date project status report, ensuring alignment with overall supply chain goals and objectives.
  • Work with affected teams to understand the critical actions necessary to integrate their requirements into the manufacturing line
  • Coordinate organization’s time & data management: create meeting governance, request/secure meeting materials to schedule, maintain meeting minutes and track action items to closure
  • Lead KPI dashboard development/reporting and critical project reviews: analyze data, drive insights and strategic planning, and deliver actionable solutions
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
  • Assess and communicate technical risks, business requirements, deliverables and schedules supporting project initiatives

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continuously facilitate communications with leadership team and maintain progress on initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Operations Finance to support budgetary planning and cost reduction initiatives; manage resourcing requirements for department and support business case study development between cross-functional teams
  • Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish
  • Organize department-level communications and project/operations reviews
  • Mentor and guide team members to support their professional development and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, project management, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional projects and initiatives, including supplier qualification and engineering optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and with suppliers.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in supply chain management, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient in using project management tools and software applications (e.g., Microsoft Project, SAP, Jira).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent preferred.
