POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr Mgr – Marketing Communications leads the design, development, and execution of structured go-to market plans for single or multiple, diverse products or services with substantial financial impact to the organization.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Manage the development and execution of multiple complex marketing communication projects including but not limited to marketing literature, press releases, web site content, social media content, newsletters, trade show materials, and internal announcements.
•    Manage team of communication specialists, graphic and web designers; provide creative direction and guide prioritization and workload management.
•    Ensure projects are managed on-time and within budget and provide regular status reports and progress updates to senior management and other internal audiences. 
•    Manage and maintain the marketing budget for the assigned line of business.
•    Create an analytical framework to track, test, and report on marketing communication effectiveness.
•    Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal business groups and external vendors and maintain the ability to analyze the needs of the sales force, legal, compliance, and branding guidelines.
•    Contribute to the department’s development by bringing new ideas and marketing best practices to the team for discussion
•    Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.  Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
•    Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred.
•    8+ years progressive Corporate/Marketing communications experience required.
•    5+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect) preferred.
•    Strong project management (from conception to completion) required. 
•    Experience overseeing external resources such as agencies, designers, photographers, videographers.
•    Periodic travel is required, including the potential for international travel.
•    High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint Outlook & Internet applications.
•    Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, and planning skills. 
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
•    Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
•    Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
•    Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
•    Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
•    Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

•    Regularly required to stand, walk, sit; and talk, hear and see.
•    Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
