The Construction Crew - Form Setter works with the site foreman to receive day-to-day assignments. S/He performs trade skills associated with concrete form setting, concrete finishing, rebar installation, and dirt work. S/He assists the foreman to verify work is in compliance with building blueprints. S/He transfers from one task to another as necessary and has a strong focus on quality and safety.  Rates start at $25/hr. plus overtime!

****Position is 100% Travel****

***Reside in any place on the East Coast or Mid Atlantic.***


  • Time Off: The position offers 13 days earned time off per fiscal year (starts accruing immediately) PLUS 10 paid holidays.

  • Per Diem: Daily allowance for meals, as well as the full cost of hotel stays covered by Matthews and mileage paid for initial and return trips per each on-site project (further than 75 miles of your home).


  • Construct both structural and flatwork concrete.
  • Set forms on line and grade accurately.
  • Build and dismantle scaffolding to support job tasks.
  • Use tools required to complete tasks including saws, drills, hammers, levels, squares and fastening devises.
  • Keep worksites clean and free of debris and safety hazards.
  • Inspects and assesses equipment and materials moving to and from work site.
  • Performs construction labor duties as required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


  • 4+ years of previous construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Domestic travel either locally and nationally, may be required.
  • Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, planning skills.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Clean driving record.


  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
  • Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly/Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
