The Opportunity

As the Marketing Director for the Matthews Aurora Funeral Solutions business, you will Execute and deliver on the strategy the future of the business’ portfolio of products and solutions and defined by our Senior Leaders vision for our commercial growth strategy.  This role offers excellent resources for full visibility of the product lifecycle—from market insight and concept creation to launch execution, sales enablement, pricing, and post‑launch performance.  This highly visible leadership position that is a key role in the execution of our long‑term strategy strengthens our competitive edge and drives meaningful innovation

What you will impact

  • Product Strategy & Innovation
  • Execute the developed commercial strategic growth plan for the business
  • The full product/service innovation pipeline—from early‑stage ideation to commercial launch.  Identify emerging trends and whitespace opportunities across the memorialization landscape.
  • Identify opportunities appealing to families and help market through our funeral home customer base.  Opportunities include both products and services sold to funeral homes as well as value-added service offerings that differentiate Matthews from competitors
  • Manage vendor partner relationships for sourced product offerings Software Solutions business leadership
  • Execute strategy for the commercial direction of our software solutions business (which includes both software solutions sold to funeral homes as well as software tools offered to our customers) including setting the software development vision and priorities
  • Help guide the software solutions selling and customer service functions

  • Marketing Leadership
  • Develop strategies that elevate Matthews’ market leadership and brand presence.
  • Shape compelling value propositions, narratives, and product messaging.
  • Commercialization & Sales Enablement
  • Architects go‑to‑market plans that ensure successful adoption and revenue growth.
  • Help develop product training and sales enablement tools that empower the 100+ person sales team.
  • Partner with the CMO and sales leaders to translate market insight into winning strategies.
  • Pricing & Financial Partnership
  • Collaborate with Finance to build pricing structures
  • Optimize product portfolio
  • Guide decisions using robust financial and market intelligence.
  • Mentor high‑performing product and marketing teams.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Play a key role in driving the execution of our long‑term organizational strategy.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience in product management, marketing, and innovation.
  • Proven experience driving growth in a B2B business; also prefer demonstrated B2C end user insights to ensure alignment with market trends and end user needs; experience leading software solution development highly valuable
  • A proven track record of leading full product lifecycles and successful commercialization.
  • Strong financial acumen and fact-based decision making
  • Exceptional communication and executive‑level influence skills.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional teams in complex environments. #DL-LI1
