POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will support Matthews Corporate Development organization in overall asset acquisition and utilization, acquisition integration work, strategy implementation, and other financial projects.  The role will include a high level of interaction with all business units and senior leadership.  This role will deliver action plans to resolve issues while managing projects through to completion.  
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Present complex issues in an actionable and understandable format to financial and executive teams. 
•    Develop and assess business process and reporting structure.  Some projects and acquisition integration will require a business process overhaul and in other cases the projects may require a complete development of data and management reporting structures. 
•    Evaluate and support optimization of business investment in assets and working capital to support corporate cash management and long-term growth initiatives.
•    KPI (Key Performance Indicator) support and development for corporate initiatives and business management.
•    Maintain acquisition tracking and integration status reporting. 
•    Coordinate internal and external meetings toward achieving acquisition and integration completion and informing corporate leadership of progress and issues.
•    Support strategic planning and budgeting to ensure a high quality financial and overall evaluation.
•    Support other corporate development projects with financial and project management as required.
•    Manage short and long-term projects with high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. 
•    Develop reports as requested by business leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or related field
•    Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
•    6+ years of previous financial reporting experience
•    Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
•    High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
•    Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
•    Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
•    Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
•    Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
•    Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
•    Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
