Quality Control Inspector

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Control Inspector performs duties related to testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process, and compiling and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. This position ensures quality control and quality assurance to produce products consistent with established standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Examines products at various stages in the production process to identify defects and completes appropriate testing of products as needed.
• Documents all defects with recommended necessary repairs and reroutes defected projects to appropriate area for correction.
• Completes root cause analysis to determine the source of product defects.
• Compares product work orders to the inspected product to ensure customer specifications have been met.
• Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.
• Ensures product meets all quality specifications and established standards and processes all product that has passed quality inspection.
• Supports and manages the company quality business systems.
• Additional duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in quality assurance, quality management or related field
• 1+ years of previous quality control experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• Basic degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
• Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
• Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
• Ability to work overtime as necessary

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly/Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high.
