POSITION SUMMARY

Maintenance Team Leader- 2nd Shift- Starting Salary up to $35 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift differential
The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for organizing, directing and coordinating maintenance personnel tasks to ensure the plant is running efficiently and limiting the impact of machine break downs or other unplanned events.  This is a second shift position with ideal hours of 12pm – 8:30pm Sunday thru Thursday.  The team leader is an excellent communicator responsible for ensuring smooth transition and coordination between shifts and reports to supervisors and other management as appropriate.  The team leader is also a TPM champion and plays an active role in creating and ensuring on time completion of preventive tasks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Responds to maintenance calls and drives efficient solutions to issues impacting production.
  • Develops TPM boards for new/existing equipment and ensures timely completion of activities.
  • Responsible for scheduling weekend maintenance activities and projects.
  • Holds daily maintenance meetings to ensure coordination between shifts.
  • Sends daily reports to inform the production and management teams of progress and any issues.
  • Utilizes maintenance software to complete work orders and schedule activities.
  • Coordinates parts and/or other supplies for projects or repairs
  • Ensures a safe working environment for self and others on the team.
  • Assists other maintenance technicians with repairs as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).  Additional education a plus.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing maintenance role.
  • 1-2 years minimum team lead experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Prior experience with SAP and E-maint a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, shop math skills and troubleshooting ability required
  • Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, & planning skills.

  • Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Working conditions are comparable to a traditional manufacturing environment.
