POSITION SUMMARY
3rd Shift Production Supervisor- Sunday through Thursday 9:30 PM- 6AM
The production supervisor is responsible for leading a team of employees to achieve specific production goals. They are responsible for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Value produced in their area(s). They will work with other supervisors and management in the achievement of monthly and annual goals. They will ensure that all employees are trained according to company standards and coach all employees for success.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary responsibility for achieving daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals in safety and production in their manufacturing area.
- Schedules daily work of employees and participates in production planning.
- Interviews, hires, trains new employees.
- Follows all applicable company policies and ensures compliance of their team.
- Provides feedback to employees to ensure good quality through production.
- Coaches and disciplines employees per company policies.
- Recommends and implements process improvements.
- Participates in continuous improvement events such as Kaizen or other events.
- Adapts quickly to schedule and production priority changes and communicates those changes effectively.
- Develops technical understanding of the operations in their area of responsibility to assist with troubleshooting and improvement plans.
- Performs process audits in their area to ensure defects are not passed to other operations.
- Creates strong relationships with other supervisors and management to ensure timely feedback.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years supervision in a manufacturing environment required.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Proficient with office applications such as MS Office, Teams and email.
- Bilingual/Spanish a plus
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Ability to work well independently and in teams.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Must be able to work occasional overtime including weekends.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
• Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly/Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.
