POSITION SUMMARY
We're in search of a Project Manager for our east coast Creative Studios. We partner with global brands to create retail marketing campaigns across a variety of media, including web, print, and out-of-home. This role understands the client’s needs and has a firm grasp on all production techniques that might be deployed to successfully manage a project from planning through completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of the graphic arts industry along with a knack for maintaining our clients’ trust & confidence by ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverages understanding of production processes, capacity, and timelines to keep projects organized and on track.
- Develops a production plan early in the project’s lifecycle, identifying and solving for potential pitfalls & challenges.
- Translates client requests and requirements into detailed, highly technical instructions for project teams.
- Manages projects from kick-off to completion for assigned client(s).
- Maintains correct project details and supporting evidence, including change orders and rework, throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilizes internal systems and databases to keep all client and project-related information organized, up-to-date, accessible, searchable and retrievable.
- Handles and responds to inquiries from clients (and/or anyone acting on behalf of the client) regarding questions, status, concerns, or general requests for information in a timely manner.
- Ensures high-quality standards in all client deliverables.
- Creates strong and effective internal partnerships and collaborates across the business; listens and values the opinions of others.
- Participates in, and sometimes leads, cross-functional teams to develop and/or adapt processes, policies, and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, speed, quality, etc.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to increase knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Mentors, coaches, trains and develops the team.
- Takes ownership of personal actions and outcomes; encourages and empowers others to do the same.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- College degree (e.g. Bachelor of Arts) in Business Administration, Marketing, or Graphic Design or other related fields preferred.
- History of successfully managing projects in a Creative Design Agency (advertising, marketing, publishing, film), Pre-Media production environment, Market Research firm, or similar consulting environment.
- 4+ years of previous project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
- High degree of proficiency Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
