POSITION SUMMARY

This role is an expert in packaging graphics execution, color management, able to read proofs, take client feedback, and collaborate with printers. Their day-to-day responsibilities include managing the overall prepress timeline and working proactively to help solve printing and prepress challenges, and engage in customer issues with proof to press match.  This position will work closely with one blue-chip client and key operations team to maintain color standardization and accuracy across the business.  Experience in numeric color data and digital color management a plus. This is a hybrid role that will work out of our office in New Jersey a few days a week. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as technical expert for both SGK and Client
  • Ability to work alone without immediate supervision, or direction, comfortable making decisions.
  • Communicate customer issues and working with cross functional teams to enhance quality of service to customers with focus print quality artwork.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and various print/production meetings to drive a positive impact on the company,
  • Work closely with the operations manager and key stakeholders across both SGK operations and printer facilities.
  • Ensure regular workflow and quality is meeting client expectations.
  • Customer Focus, strong attention to detail, anticipating and providing solutions to client needs, with high degree of client satisfaction
  • Managing multiple projects and effectively prioritizing tasks.
  • Additional duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • 6+ years progressive print production experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Color management expertise and solid understanding of packaging and print
  • Capable of presenting SGK products to internal and external audiences
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
