POSITION SUMMARY

Client manager role establishes trusted relationships with clients and colleagues through thought partnership, inspiring and supporting great marketing deliverables and running projects with excellence from end-to-end. The Client Manager ensures efficient execution of integrated marketing deliverables (communications / materials, digital marketing, website and social) from estimation to completion, and partners with the broader project team to ensure deliverables are completed on time and on budget. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • The subject matter expert for the assigned client and the industry vertical

  • Builds and ensures effective relationships with client and key agency players

  • Validates Creative Brief and overall direction provided by Client Marketer and ensures quality, on-brand, on time work with zero errors that meets the brief

  • Coordinates client-specific projects throughout the lifecycle, including estimate creation, selection of appropriate projects and sub-projects, assignment of resources, monitoring project progress, preps the AM for brainstorm, kick-off, download and presentations.

  • Generates Client-facing estimates and gains estimate alignment and approval from Clients

  • Leads the broader project team to help develop strategy, creative, etc., ensuring team proactively has what they need for success and the project runs on time and on budget

  • Serves as the main day-to-day contact, ensuring a great Client experience: reinforcement of on-strategy deliverables, timely responses, identification of opportunity areas and de-escalation of potential issues or changes

  • Ensures billing is accurate and meets forecasted numbers

  • Participates in cross-functional teams to develop and/or adapt processes, policies, and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, speed, quality, etc. 

  • Understands and recommends solutions for business-related issues and situations and generates specific plans that achieve objectives.

  • Supports the development of innovative proposals to capture both account growth and new business opportunities. Identifies new services/offerings to meet the clients’ evolving needs, and sells them in

  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field

  • Experience in FMCG, retail / shopper, food & beverage, lifestyle, and both B2B and B2C channels preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive account management experience in a Creative Design Agency, Market Research firm or similar consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience managing integrated marketing efforts

  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required in the future

  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications

  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills 
    Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)

  • Solid understanding and application of all integrated marketing tactics (communication, website and all digital tactics)

  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients

  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management

  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.
