Sr Graphic Designer

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is for a pharma studio production artist.  The production artist will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Pharma studio by creating, producing, and developing print-ready artwork files in multiple formats. 

The successful candidate will have strong typographic and layout skills, strict attention to detail, and outstanding organizational, project management, file organization, and archiving skills.

Must have a solid knowledge of print production and design and be adept with software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uses software to create and make changes to commercial art while maintaining consistent brand standards, operating procedures, client and quality guidelines.
  • Makes various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolves any artwork issues that arise during production.
  • Inspects accuracy of work prior to routing for quality checks and proofreading.
  • Packages files for release to printers or media partners.
  • Creates artwork template files for external approval.
  • Assists with maintenance of intranet reference guidelines and documents.
  • Tracks and reports on all graphic work being completed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
     

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts, Art or related field; or education and experience commensurate with a degree.
  • 4+ years of previous graphic design experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, as well as, Mac experience preferred.
  • Experience with web design, Java, and HTML preferred.
  • A high degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.  
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
