POSITION SUMMARY
We are SGK, a global agency that focusses on brand experience and packaging design. We are looking for a Designer to join the brand solutions team.
We are currently in an exciting period of growth, and we are looking for someone who can work closely with our CD and DD. Predominantly working for a leading FMCG brand with opportunities to work across our portfolio of pack clients when the need arises. The briefs we work on are varied and solutions are led by the client’s needs. The role has a focus on pack design, brand guardianship, key visual and POS.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your general skills
· Create amazing work
· Make work that is effective and delivers on the objectives of the brief
· Construct clear and convincing presentations for internal and client purposes.
· Brief and support illustrators, artwork and production team inside and outside of SGK to create what is needed
Your roles and responsibility
· Experience as a designer
· Experience working in a creative agency
· Good conceptual skills
· Excellent visual design skills and attention to detail
· Good working knowledge of print production
· Strong visualisation and sketching skills
· Experience in brand guardianship and/or understanding brand essence
· Experience creating story boards and working on motion
· Fluent in Adobe CS

- Experience with conceptual and adaptive briefs, ensuring the design is on brand and on brief, but beyond expectations
- You make jobs your own, push creative boundaries and create the best possible design solutions
- Experience working in an agency, working closely with the CD, client services, clients and production doesn’t hold any surprises for you.
- You can communicate your ideas clearly in words and scamps
- Experience creating concepts, adaptive work, mood boards, POS and presentations
- Good understanding of relevant software and print production
- Team player, working closely with other team members on and off site
- Good communication, presenting work to clients and team members, asking questions to make sure you know all you need to know about a project, explaining what you need from others or raising flags when things don’t go as planned.
