Sr Client Manager

We’re on the hunt for an experienced, confident and driven Senior Account Manager who is excited at the opportunity to take ownership of an important and long-standing client relationship.

They will lead the day-to-day management of the agency’s key client relationships, delivering an ongoing series of packaging design projects for well-established FMCG brands.

 

Scope of role

Currently 1 day in the London office, otherside remote working; may need to travel to client offices in London as required post-COVID.

 

Role overview

The Senior Account Manager position will involve taking client briefs, working with the SGK creative and production teams to expedite these through the approved process in an appropriate and timely manner

to ensure client satisfaction. Additionally, the Senior Account Manager is also charged with developing long standing commercial relationships to ensure sustained, long-term growth. The role will be supported the Senior

Account Director in relationship building and strategic account planning, but the Senior Account Manager is expected to be the first point of contact and main relationship holder for a number of brand managers.

KEY TASKS

  • Chasing and driving client briefs, writing internal creative briefs, timing plans and any related client service responsibilities (contact reports, status reports etc.)
  • Produce scopes of work, including cost estimates and timeplans
  • Manage client project tracking, reporting up to the SAD on all current workstreams and future pipeline
  • Lead processes with the creative, scheduling and production teams to maximise operational efficiencies without compromising quality
  • Be able to engage with technical stakeholders and approval systems as needed for project delivery
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of client finance, including invoicing and budget tracking

EXPERIENCE/PROFILE

Candidate profile

  • Proactive, driven attitude with desire to take ownership and move things forward
  • Professional, polite and well-spoken with confidence to engage with clients, some of whom may not have English as a first language
  • Personable, with the ability to develop personal relationships and trust with clients
  • Keen to build category knowledge and act as consultant to support with briefings/feedback where necessary
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a calm and logical manner
  • Comfortable working within a process framework
  • Ability to work in a team, to delegate or escalate as required

 

Ideal experience

  • 4+ years account management experience with a packaging design agency
  • Good FMCG branding and packaging design knowledge essential
  • Experience in dealing with multiple SKU projects from start to finish essential
  • Experience in managing projects, timelines & budgets
