SGK is seeking an Onsite Packaging Coordinator to join our team.  The Onsite Packaging Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating packaging development activities between Client’s Brand Management, Marketing and Design departments; Client product manufacturers and printers; and Schawk’s production art, prepress and print quality teams. The position will require strong communication and organizational skills, knowledge of the various phases of packaging production, (creative design, production art, prepress and printing) and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines. The Onsite Coordinator will play a key, proactive role in leading packaging development initiatives within the client organization. Collaboration across multiple departments will be necessary as well as the ability to influence the various contributors (internal and external) to ensure positive quality, cost and timeline results.

Management of the packaging development process:


  • Ensure that a daily production schedule is generated and kept up to date
  • Ensure productivity levels are being executed on timely basis
  • Review/QC all production projects at each stage to ensure quality results
  • Ensure all tracking information is properly entered in systems and is up to date on a daily basis
  • Clearly communicate clients requirements for quality and standards to the Schawk facilities
  • Support Onsite Manager in documenting and adjusting workflows to address quality issues so they are not repeated
  • Clearly communicate timelines and production needs both internally and externally
  • Interact with client on a daily basis communicating status, providing input and consultation on projects
  • Guide client in evaluation of proofs and briefs that require client approval
  • Participation and leadership in client meetings and presentation as required
  • Communicate any job issues to client on a timely basis
  • Promote the organization with existing clients and potential prospects
  • Develop strong and trusting relationships with client contacts
  • Strive to continuously improve workflows based on new technologies, and changing environments.
  • Communicate new technologies to production group to help improve efficiency and decrease costs.


Training and development:


  • Seek support and learning from others to meet or exceed developmental expectations
  • Assess skill strengths and shortcomings of yourself and the team as a whole to determine development needs
  • Offer training and support in a positive respectful manner





  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
  • 6+ years of previous project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
