POSITION SUMMARY
SGK is seeking a results-driven and dynamic Business Development Manager to lead growth in our Point of Purchase (POP) and Point of Sale (POS) print division. Our company specializes in creating and delivering high-quality, customized, data-driven in-store marketing solutions for retail environments. Our meticulous, collaborative approach ensures the highest quality of deliverables, even under tight timelines. By anchoring our strategies in thorough planning and agile execution, we deliver well-orchestrated in-store printed marketing solutions that drive results. Housed in a state-of-the-art 750,000 sq. ft. facility, we leverage cutting-edge large format printing and finishing equipment to provide unparalleled quality and automation for our clients. This position will also leverage the larger offerings of adjacent business units, which include brand creative, content creation, branded environments, digital marketing, packaging, and technology solutions featuring industry-leading automation tools.

• Experience with large format digital printing, screen printing, or other in-store technology solutions.
• Knowledge of shopper marketing and consumer behavior principles.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Analytical skills to interpret market data and inform sales strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the retail and in-store marketing sectors, leveraging large format digital and screen-printing technologies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in retail organizations.
• Present and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals, and tailored marketing solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams—creative, account management, project management—to deliver high-quality, customized solutions to prospects and leads.
• Own the management of RFP submissions, coordinating input from internal teams to ensure accurate and competitive responses.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions within the CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring data integrity and accessibility for reporting and analysis.
• Lead the development of pitch decks and marketing collateral, incorporating insights from Business Development Analysts and Creative Teams.
• Own initial client pitches and collaborate with the larger North American Business Development team to share leads, gain referrals, and integrate Print offerings into comprehensive pitch decks.
• Manage initial client relationships, ensuring a seamless handoff to an established Account Team at the appropriate time.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine strategies and stay ahead in the industry.
• Meet and exceed sales targets, KPIs, and profitability goals.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
• Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in retail, printing, or marketing services.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
• Strong understanding of retail environments, in-store marketing, and value-based selling.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with experience engaging at the executive level.
• Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Occasional travel either locally or nationally may be required.
