This Sr Client Manager will lead valued relationships with clients and key agency players. This role establishes trusted relationships with clients and colleagues while identifying opportunities for additional revenue growth within the assigned client accounts. They will ensure efficient coordination of projects from estimation to completion, and partners with the broader project team to ensure deliverables are completed on time and on budget. 
 

As a primary point of contact, this role represents the SGK organization and requires high energy, an entrepreneurial approach to business, the ability to be collaborative, easily navigate complicated initiatives, and quickly become someone asked for by name.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Is the subject matter expert for the assigned client and the industry vertical (Sport, Retail and Experiential Marketing)
  • Acts as a strategic partner and inspirational leader to internal and external Brand stakeholders, through integrated marketing, consumer experience, and product launch communications specialist.
  • Partners with Creative Lead on strategy and guides overall direction of projects - bringing collaboration and creativity in the development and implementation of new solutions
  • Validates Creative Brief and overall direction provided by Client and ensures quality, on-brand, on-time work with zero errors that meet the brief
  • Coordinates client-specific projects throughout the lifecycle, including estimate creation, selection of appropriate projects and sub-projects, assignment of resources, monitoring project progress, and preps for brainstorms, kick-offs, and presentations.
  • Leads the broader project team to help develop strategy while ensuring the team proactively has what they need for success and the project runs on time and on budget
  • Serves as the main day-to-day contact, ensuring a great Client experience: alignment of strategic deliverables, timely responses, identification of opportunity areas, and de-escalation of potential issues or changes
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to develop and/or adapt processes, policies, and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, speed, quality, etc. 
  • Supports the development of innovative proposals to capture both account growth and new business opportunities. Identifies new services/offerings to meet the clients’ evolving needs, and sells them in
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities with employee(s) to ensure goals are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, and develops team and balances morale.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred but not required
  • 8+ years of progressive account management experience in a Creative Design Agency, Market Research firm or similar consulting environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect)
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
