POSITION SUMMARY

We’re on the hunt for a top-tier Freelance Creative Director to contribute to this mission on our Portland team. This Creative Director develops the creative vision on many key clients. This position is responsible for defining the creative brief, strategy, and blue sky solutions to all creative projects for one of our global retail and experiential marketing efforts. This position drives the definition of the creative brief, creative strategy, and creative solution, and the approach and presentation of the overall project. They champion the brands they work with while leading and inspiring teams to deliver the best creative solution that transcends various touch-points. This position leads presentations with clients and is accountable for ensuring the creative deliverables are aligned with the brief and meet or exceed client expectations.

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH?
- Creating physical environments in 3D that create memorable consumer experiences
- Being a team player and dealing with cross-functional disciplines
- Developing creative, innovative, and cost-effective Creative Design strategies that meet client needs, utilizing project experience, current market trends, competitor intelligence, and strategic thinking.
- Digesting feedback and turning it into deliverables
- Providing clear expectations to both are internal production group and fabricating partners resulting in the best possible product and follow up to see that those expectations are met.
- Presenting your concepts clearly and concisely to both internal teams and clients
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Design, Marketing or related field
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
• 8+ years progressive creative design experience
• 5+ years in a leadership role
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook, Adobe & Internet applications
• Strong understanding of effective Creative Design practices, trends, techniques, and processes across various touchpoints or mediums (e.g. packaging, in-store, online, mobile, print, direct).
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
