POSITION SUMMARY

We're seeking an End User Computing Technician to join our esteemed EMEA EUC team. This pivotal role entails delivering essential support services vital to the seamless operation of our business, encompassing End User Computer Hardware management and direct technical assistance to end users. Your primary focus will be ensuring that staff members receive professional and efficient support at all times. This involves receiving, prioritising, documenting, and actively resolving end user support requests.

You'll play a key role in providing both on-site IT and remote support to our EMEA region. Collaborating closely with our global Matthews Enterprise IT team

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an End User Computing Technician within the Global Infrastructure Organisation, you will be based in Manchester, with an on-site presence split between two locations (SGK Salford & Equator Design). Your main role will involve providing daily operational support for the development and maintenance of global end user computing services. This will require close collaboration with third-party vendors to ensure smooth operations

 

  • Mac & PC - diagnose & Repair
  • Remote hands for Matthews Enterprise IT Server Infrastructure and Network Infrastructure Teams
  • Mac builds & PC/Laptop builds,
  • Software rollout
  • Resolving Cherwell tickets for Incidents/Requests supporting the End User environment (local and regional)
  • Office moves
  • Procurement of End User hardware
  • Escalating issues to the relevant bodies.
  • Participate in EUC Meetings
  • Provide Cover for other EUC Staff – remote & onsite
  • Provide remote and onsite Support to regional Sites without permanent onsite IT presence
  • Any other duty as required by the line manager commensurate with the post

EXPERIENCE

  • IT technical service experience with Strong Apple Mac and Windows Desktop skills
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • Strong analytical, prioritising, interpersonal, problem-solving & planning skills Strong verbal and written communication skills(including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organisation, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
