POSITION SUMMARY

 

SGK San Francisco is in search of a Project Manager for our Creative Studio. We partner with some of the largest tech companies in the Bay Area to produce striking, high-visibility marketing campaigns across a variety of media, including web, print, video and out-of-home. This role understands the client’s needs and has a firm grasp on all production techniques that might be deployed to successfully manage a project from planning through completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of the graphic arts industry (2D & 3D applications) along with a knack for maintaining our clients’ trust & confidence by ensuring the delivery of high quality services and solutions.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Operational Excellence

  • Leverages understanding of production processes, capacity, and timelines to keep projects organized and on track.
  • Develops a production plan early in the project’s lifecycle, identifying and solving for potential pitfalls & challenges.
  • Translates client requests and requirements into detailed, highly technical instructions for project teams.
  • Ensures high quality standards in all client deliverables.
  • Partners with others on the project teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintains correct project details and supporting evidence, including change orders and rework, throughout the project lifecycle.
  • May partner with Client Integration and Client Growth to ensure a smooth transition for new clients, attending pre-integration and planning meetings as needed.
  • Utilizes internal systems and databases to keep all client and project-related information organized, up-to-date, accessible, searchable and retrievable.

 
 

Client Experience

  • Manages projects from kick-off to completion for assigned client(s).
  • Works closely with Client Engagement to serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients.
  • Handles and responds to inquiries from clients (and/or anyone acting on behalf of the client) regarding questions, status, concerns, or general requests for information in a timely manner.
  • Attends client meetings as needed.
  • Ensures high quality standards in all client deliverables.
  • Assists in resolution of customer complaints and quality assurance issues as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

 

Education & Certifications

  • College degree (e.g. Bachelor of Arts) in Business Administration, Marketing, or Graphic Design or other related fields preferred.

 

Experience

  • History of successfully managing projects in a Creative Design Agency (advertising, marketing, publishing, film), Pre-Media production environment, Market Research firm, or similar consulting environment.

 

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of Pre-media (print and digital) processes, roles, tools and workflows.
  • High level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud software, particularly Photoshop. 
  • Basic familiarity with 3D workflows, processes & terminology.
  • Strong Mac OS navigation and file management skills (e.g., keyboard shortcuts, view options, etc).
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Ability to create, manipulate and interpret spreadsheets (Excel and Numbers).
  • Ability to manage heavy workloads, prioritize work appropriately, and meet assigned deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Natural curiosity and eagerness to share learning/knowledge with colleagues.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with limited supervision, to handle a heavy workload, prioritize work, and meet assigned deadlines 
  • Strong eye for basic graphic design principles.
  • Deep knowledge of client’s products, solutions and services
