POSITION SUMMARY
SGK Minneapolis is seeking a Client Project Coordinator. The Client Project Coordinator manages projects through each step of the packaging graphics supply chain, from design through print production. This role works directly with the client as well as SGK colleagues and other external stakeholders and partners. Qualified candidate must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to manage complex packaging projects to successful completion.
This is a remote position with the possibility of infrequent in-person meetings. In-person training opportunities will be provided for local candidates.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work as the main point of contact with the client, build and sustain strong relationships with the client’s functional areas (Marketing, Design, Quality & Regulatory, Pkg R&D, Consumer Insights,etc.) and client's vendors (Design Partners and Printers)
• Work within a division/brand, acting as the central point of communication, working on multiple projects.
• Maintain awareness of the client’s expectations while supporting SGK’s goals and objectives
• Own or participate in pre-production meetings with design firms, printers, clients, and Account Manager.
• Ensure any concerns regarding the printability of the design are raised clearly and in writing by way of the Pre-Production form.
• Develop project timelines, maintain regular status reports, facilitate team-planning meetings, and ensure team members use standardized workflows and tools.
• Facilitate status meetings with the project team and communicate relevant project information in a timely manner.
• Work with Account Manager to resolve or escalate issues and keep client and supplier updated and informed of any corrective action.
• Maintain strong brand knowledge, acting as a point of contact for brand equity questions. Identify and participate in new Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• 4+ years progressive project coordination experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Packaging graphics industry experience and knowledge of design, packaging, print &/or repro preferred, but strong applicants with limited industry experience will be considered
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Strong organizational skills along with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• A team player who will work collaboratively with colleagues to complete all projects on time
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
• PC literate – Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat.
• A high degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
