Sr IT Service Tech

JOB SUMMARY

We are recruiting for a Senior End User Computing Technician (m/w/d) to be based in Budapest.

This is a regional role to provide a critical support function to the operation of the business covering End User Computer Hardware and also the provision of direct technical support to end-users. They will provide a service to staff members and its clients who should be dealt with professionally at all times. This includes receiving, prioritising, documenting and actively resolving end-user help requests.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Overseeing I.T Support for the End User environment in Budapest whilst also providing support the Matthews EMEA region. Handling requests from end-users via the Matthews Ticketing System in a timely and courteous manner.

· Mac & PC - diagnose & Repair

· Monitoring and administration of local Servers / Printers

· Remote hands for Server Infrastructure and Network Infrastructure Teams

· Mac Builds & PC / Laptop builds / Software rollout

· Performing backup checks & reporting failures to Regional EUC Manager

· Any other duty as required by the line manager commensurate with the post

· Resolving Cherwell Tickets for the Jülich Site whilst also assisting with the resolution of regional tickets

· Escalating issues to the relevant bodies

· Participate in EUC Meetings

· Provide remote cover for other EUC Staff

· Provide remote and onsite Support to regional Sites without permanent onsite IT

· Smart Hands for other Matthews Enterprise IT towers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • · IT technical service experience with Strong Apple Mac and Windows Desktop skills

    · Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.

    · Strong analytical, prioritising, interpersonal, problem-solving & planning skills Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)

    · Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organisation, as well as internal and external clients

    · Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

    · Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management

    · Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

    · Ability to work overtime as necessary

    · Strong English language skills (Written and Verbal)
