POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an Client Manager keen to join our fast-paced and evolving brand design agency in York. This role can be worked on a hybrid basis. 

 

Reporting into the Client Services Director, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of creative and adaptive projects for clients including Nestle Confectionery ranging from packaging and point-of-sale to activation campaigns. You will have exceptional organisational and communication skills and will foster direct relationships with clients and partner with the creative and production teams, leading the work from initial concepts through to end delivery.

 

With support of the Account team, the Account Manager will have responsibility for their own account along with day to day management of adhoc projects, developing relationships and driving the account and projects. There is an opportunity to work across a varied mix of high-profile brands with our teams across the UK & Europe. 

 

AREAS OF FOCUS

These are the main areas of focus for the Account Manager:

 

Management and delivery of projects:

·      Be responsible for client liaison and develop strong professional relationships

·      Produce estimates and timing plans in response to project briefs, and generate inspiring creative briefs for the design team

·      Partner with the production team to future plan workloads and ensure efficient and effective ways of working

·      Develop full awareness of the creative process and techniques, including all technical requirements where necessary

·      Plan ahead to collate necessary information and identify concerns before they arise

·      Closely monitor projects to ensure they are delivered to agreed scope, timings, budget and creative quality

·      Understand the broader requirements for client business challenges and find helpful ways to contribute to their successful delivery

·      Take ownership for project financials including invoicing and internal process admin.

·      Support junior team members where necessary and know when to delegate upwards to the right people when issues occur

·      Be prepared to support in areas outside of the immediate team, including helping on other accounts, contributing in pitches or managing internal initiatives if required.

 

Building and safeguarding relationships

·      Build a partnership relationship with clients by developing a good rapport

·      Be responsible for ensuring that relevant clients and account team members are kept up to date on project developments

·      Ensure that internal and client sign‐offs are obtained on all key project deliverables

·      Manage conflicts and issues effectively, and seek guidance as needed.

·      Build an understanding of SGK's and the client's industry, business, and products

·      Learn to develop creative judgment and strive for the best work every time

·      Show enthusiasm to take on board relevant market and category trends to support creative output

·      Have the confidence to lead discussions and act an authority on projects in a busy and varied working environment

 

EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate for this role has experience working in a brand and packaging design agency environment. They should be able to demonstrate experience of managing projects efficiently, on‐time and on-budget.
