POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Sales Representative manages sales efforts in an assigned area or territory by continuously developing business relationships with new and existing customers. This role sells solution based company products or services at a senior level, specifically Matthews’ state of the art order fulfillment, order picking and warehouse control systems. 

 

This position, depending on experience, may be done remotely from anywhere in the continental US.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Experience preferred in SalesForce CRM.
•    Develops sales messaging to obtain new business and encourage growth.
•    Schedules site visit meetings and deliver sales presentations to prospective customers.
•    Develops routine calls and meetings with existing customers to develop business relationship and ensure customer satisfaction. 
•    Coordinates with Product Managers and Engineers to provide Pre-Sales product expertise for sales cycles; able to display and demonstrate product, emphasizing salable features and benefits and answering technical questions.  Strong IT/IS Commercial Business ERP/WMS/WES/MES background a plus
•    Work with Estimating to provide Quote, pricing and proposals.
•    Prepares reports of business transactions and maintains expense accounts. 
•    Coordinates customer training on products and services.
•    Acts as a mentor to Sales Representatives on sales techniques. 
•    Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries. Communicates resolutions to customers to ensure continued client satisfaction.
•    Represents company at state and regional trade shows.
•    Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or related field
•    10  years of progressive Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) sales experience across a broad range of technologies and solutions found in Warehouse Logistics, and Order Fulfillment operations
•    Familiar with top level Systems Integrator representing a variety of Manufacturers and Dealers of MHE solutions.  
•    Routine national travel will be required.  
•    Additional experience in the emerging Robotics/AMR and Goods to Person technologies for applications in Warehouse Logistics and Factory Automation is desired.
•    Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
•    Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
•    Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
